My Words Will NEVER be enough...

So I write a load of blogs, but I tend not to use scriptures to back it up (I don't know why, I just realized this), but this time it’s all going to change. In my young adults connect group we were talking about Colour a recent empowering conference lead by my home church and when recapping how the conference changed us, a friend of mine said she gets emotional when people don’t get what and who Christ is. We all agreed with her because after Colour I’m telling you, people perspective has changed and I just pray that it is not just for a short period and we all continue to keep the fire God has given us.

There is a song on my iPod that I’m listening to right now ‘Your Love Never Fails’ by Jesus Culture (lead by Chris Quilala) (1 Chron 16 vs 34; Ps 118 vs 1; Ps 107 vs 1). There is a line towards the end of the song that says ‘You make all things work together for my good,’ at this point everything stood still and I was like wow, this is true, but even still like most Christians, I have trouble believing that when I am going through a situation. It's a process which I am still going through and I know that I am not alone with this. Another line that stood out to me in this song, 'There may be pain in the night, but joy comes in the morning.' Now in human nature we won't thank God when going through a situation, but we need to continuously learn to look to God by opening the Bible, praying and worshipping. There are time when we need to approach God be like, “hey God I am going through this, but I know that you are going to see me through this because I know who my hope lies in.” 2 Chron 15 vs 14 tells us about the Israelites who went to God when they were in trouble. They didn't have preachers or leaders either, so when they went to God, God showed himself. The Amplified Bible reads it like this, “But when they in their trouble turned to the Lord, The God of Israel, an [in desperation earnestly] sought Him, He was found by them.”

I have decided to put the song on repeat because I know that God wants to get as much as he can out of me in these few moments and I will continue to obey. I have no idea who really needs this, but I pray everyone who reads this is blessed one way or the other. Chris Quilala constantly repeats, “You're love never fails,” sometimes there is so much going on that we feel that God doesn't care, but remember relationships are a two way street and God will always love us. John 3 vs 16 explains it so directly, God loves the world so much, he sent Jesus so we could have grace and have it abundantly.

I seriously can't get over this song. The first time I heard it I was just checking out Jesus Culture, but now I have internalized it and I can hear God say to me, “I make all things work together for your good.” When it comes to God's plan for us, there will always be a PLAN A, no plan B. It's PLAN A only. God makes a plan A and sticks to it, we create our own plan B and maybe even more which causes confusion; not the way it should be. Jer 29 vs 11, it may be a 'mainstream' verse, but when we look into that verse in it's true right, it means something much more. “I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out- plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for” (Jer 29 vs 11; MSG). Look at the first part again, “I know what I'm doing,” right now it may look like we are in walking the long road to a dead end, but GOD KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!!

All God wants is for us to hold on and hold on tight, for “When you come and pray, he'll listen” (Jer 29 vs 12). All he's waiting for is for us to call onto him because he wants to help us. “I call to God; God will help me” (Ps 55 vs 16; MSG).

(Here is the link to the song, you have to copy and paste in browser) Be blessed.
